Looking back
It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 3 years since we came back to PNG. But alas, the time has come for a much needed time back home.
Looking back, God has given so much grace and enabled so many good things to happen.
There is a church being established in Konomala.
People we love are experiencing the true life available in Jesus each day.
Minds are being freed from confusion.
Hearts are being transformed as people humbly recognize their need and find the answer in the love of their heavenly Father, in the life of His Son, in His word, in His Spirit, and in His family.
We ourselves have grown and changed as God has faithfully worked in our hearts right alongside our friends.
Some of our brothers have gone ahead of us and are already in heaven waiting for the day when all will be made new.
God’s Spirit is raising up men and women who will be able to pour into others and lead His church.
When compared to all that God has done and promises to do, all of the sacrifices and all of the hard things seem so small. He is so good and His love is never ending.
Traveling home in January
Firstly, thank you for your faithfulness to pursue Jesus and care about the things that He cares about. So many of you have faithfully prayed and sacrificially given over the years. Simple thanks are just not enough.
As is always the case, it feels like there are a million things to think about, plan for, and purchase during these transitions. It still feels like a long ways away, but in the world of international travel, January is just around the corner.
For reference, all of the travel will cost about $9,000.
Then when we arrive, we will need to buy a relatively reliable car. That will likely cost between $5,000 — $7,000.
We’re trusting the Lord as we anticipate all that’s coming in the months ahead.
If you would like to help with any of the upcoming needs for travel & transition back home, you can check the links below for some ideas of how to do that.
We appreciate you all, and we’re looking forward to seeing many of you in just a few months!
YAY! As much as I am sure you will feel torn to leave, it will be awesome to see you all once again and to hear and see a report first-hand from you if you get to come up our way in Massachusetts! Harold Crowell, Plainville Baptist Church
