Pray for the CHURCH & TRAVELING

We’re all packed up and officially starting our journey back to America in a couple days.

the Church

Thank you all for praying for us these last months as we’ve been walking together with the church through the ups and downs of life. We’re collectively stepping into a new and unknown season together. This next few months will be the first stretch of time that the church will continue on together without either of our families being here. It’s amazing to look back and see how God has worked in us and changed us all over the last couple of years together. He has established His family here in Konomala. In faith we’re looking forward to all that He will do in the years ahead.

We’re so thankful to be leaving with the knowledge that the church has been equipped to continue on in the truth together; they have an ever-growing depth of knowing Jesus; and they know how to walk in His Spirit in the midst of the spiritual battle all around. There will undoubtedly be challenges & victories. We’re all counting on Jesus being faithful as our dear friends abide in Him and experience His very life.

the Family

As you can imagine, there are a lot of family conversations about what we’re looking forward to in America. Family, friends, food, smooth roads, fully-stocked stores … the list is constantly growing =)

We’ve been slowly packing up and doing last minute things to make sure that the house is ready for the stagnant heat (and constant gecko poop) of the months ahead.

Kaitlyn and the girls have also been working hard to finish well in their homeschooling so that everyone is ready for their yearly school testing before we leave the country.

Please Pray

Pray that the road would be in good enough condition for our 8 hour drive to town. We’ve had 3 nearby bridges collapse recently … 2 in the last two weeks. Not exactly ideal.

Pray that we’d be able to maintain some semblance of sanity & health during the long days of travel ahead of us.

Pray that the church would have courage and boldness as they step into an important time of growing & living life together. As is the case for all of us, there are so many things fighting against all that God wants to do in and through the church in Konomala.
